The most Wuthering Heights day ever

Saturday 16 July 2016: The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever.

It was also a most delicious Winter’s day in sunny Melbourne.

No, really!

The sun shone on the crowd gathered at Kings Domain as they shared a passion for the inimitable Kate Bush, her signature song and the strangely wonderful choreography that is part of the collective consciousness of those who love the song first heard in 1978.

I’m sure the organisers of TMWHDE were prepared for a day with wind and rain, after all the song begins with “out on the wiley, windy moors, we’d roll and fall in green…” but thankfully we enjoyed an amazing warm and still Saturday arvo with friends old and new.

What a beautiful day. Thanks to the organisers, participants and … Kate.

About Danae Gibson

My first love is radio and I am the Talks Producer at RTRFM 92.1. Until recently I was coordinating the Broadcast Journalism Diploma course at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne. From 2012-2015 I loved my role as Diversity Programming Coordinator at SYN Media. SYN is a media organisation run by a community of young people that provides training and broadcast opportunities for young Australians. SYN Radio broadcasts on 90.7 FM in Melbourne, on digital radio and online. I moved to Melbourne to take on the GM role at LGBTI community radio station JOY 94.9 in 2009 and for many years before that I enjoyed program making, training and more at Perth's Sound Alternative RTRFM 92.1. Oh, I'm also pretty keen on sport! @dgzw
